Meet Dexter
At Dexter's last Head of School post - a 15 year stint - he not only oversaw the greatest growth in the history of the 180 year old institution, he also led a key cultural change, moving Worcester Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts from a last-century, adult-centric institution to a 21st century student-centered school. Additionally, Dexter:
Increased enrollment from 300 students to 655 students
14 consecutive annual operational budget surpluses
$82 Million raised in 2 Capital Campaigns
Increased Annual Gifts from $290K to over $1 Million
Increased the size of an urban, land-locked campus from 24 Acres to 71 Acres
Extremely active in helping other independent schools improve through his work with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Dexter took on the huge responsibility of chairing or co-chairing the NEASC Visiting Re-accreditation Committees 6 times at following schools:
